The second pic is of our Level 3 and 4 graduating class, plus our teachers: Sommer and Andrew.

Meisner Technique at Green Shirt Studios
Sanford Meisner was a master teacher and genius. His technique for actors is the most simple, direct, least pretentious, and most effective. I want to share with you a gem I found, The Green Shirt Studio. After auditing several schools and teachers in early 2010, I found Andrew Gallant and Sommer Austin. I am currently finishing their Meisner Level 3. They are great teachers, and I look forward to taking Level 4 with them and finishing the series. In an effort to refresh my monologues, I am also taking a Meisner-oriented monologue class with them, which I'm really learning a lot from. If anyone is interested in the Meisner Technique, Sommer and Andrew are the best! http://www.greenshirtstudio.com/

Improv Rehearsing at World Market & Whole Foods
Did some improv rehearsing with Alma. She is the actress playing Lourdes, my ex-wife in the film. It went really well... she was a natural! We are very happy with our entire cast.

Ladies in Comedy fundraiser at The Poison Cup, wine and art boutique
Had a great time last night with friends and fellow actors at the Chicago Ladies in Comedy fundraiser! It was at The Poison Cup, a wine and art boutique. We were actually two couples rehearsing incognito while mingling with the crowd at this event. We were improvising while being in-character. It was totally off-script and off-the-cuff. Basically, we were creating/living the immediate back-story of the script. It felt really natural, genuine, and truthful. There was also a silent auction that we won bids on. In the pics: Me as Gardel, Erin as Jewel, Patrice as Maya, and Kevin as Derrick.

Independent Film - Gardel's Jewel
Currently collaborating on a great project with a very dedicated and talented group of individuals. It is an independent film about relationships and love. We are in preproduction right now, and scheduled to begin shooting in a month. I will share more as it progresses.
