Leandro Hernandez was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.  Leandro’s interest in acting started in the fourth grade, when his aunt hired him to do commercials for her advertising firm’s clients.  As a child he would also create a multitude of elaborate video and radio shows with his cousins and brothers.  Although very analytical, Leandro always found himself exploring the creative-side of things.  Throughout his childhood, he was always involved in some sort of artistic activity, whether it was taking classes in art, theatre, writing, or performing for friends and family.  In high school, he was a writer and reporter for his high school newspaper as well as a photographer for his yearbook.
Later, Leandro graduated from the University of Chicago with a concentration in economics and psychology.  However, throughout his college career, Leandro could not get away from taking theatre and acting classes. During and after college, he worked for various companies in a finance, marketing, or management capacity.  Leandro left acting for a while to focus on a profession in the business world.  However, acting kept calling him back.  As a result, he again found himself taking acting classes and auditioning for several projects.  Most recently, Leandro has decided to focus on film projects, while continuing his comprehensive acting training.
During his education and past lives, Leandro has traveled extensively.  He has visited various countries in Latin America, Europe, and Asia.  Some of his favorite places include China, Italy, Cuba, and Costa Rica.  Throughout his life, Leandro has also been a diligent student of the martial arts, especially the Chinese art of the Seven Star Praying Mantis kung fu.  Some of his other interests include long-distance running, rock climbing, hiking, working out, technology, futurism, vegan cooking, dancing, and listening to music.
